Support local farmers and check out my friends at Whoa Nellie Dairy in Acme! 🐄 🧀 Don’t skip this local farm store selling raw and cream line milk. They also carry many other local products like cheese, Black Angus beef, honey, maple syrup, soap, and more. 📍 Whoa Nellie Dairy 139 Bear Rocks Road Acme, PA #shoplocal #exploringthelaurelhighlands #pennsylvania #localfarmers #creamline #farmfresh #laurelhighlands

A great little farm. Went here with my son for a field trip a few years ago. So yeah I don't know their hours off the top of my head or what they might be doing now during covid. They have everything here. From farm fresh produce and a fun filled educational trip for kids. Kids loved it even if it was wet and blah that day. The best thing outta it was the hay ride through the whole area they owned. The fields, the woods, and planted areas waiting to be picked. Kids got to see all types of farm animals, produce, and visual/hands on learning. They have a little gift and produce shop. Has restrooms. This is definitely not a free trip. But worth the money to spend and let your little one learn new things they will never see in the city or most counties around the cities.

Ben & Mary Beth are awesome folks who run a fine dairy. I make it out to Acme once in a while for gigs with my bluegrass band and have had the opportunity to play at the farm attached to the dairy. Recently I stopped in to take some photos and grabbed some milk and eggs. The whole milk was some of the creamiest milk ever, used it to make some awesome mac and cheese. The eggs were rainbow eggs which were different colored than just white, these were awesome eggs as well. Would definitely recommend stopping by. It's more than just a diary. The antiques and custom built farm furniture and other goods are great to see!

I enjoy small out of the way places to visit. The store is quaint and has a nice variety of local products...candies, salsa, maple syrup, and other goodies based on the time of year and season. The chocolate milk is so amazing it cannot be put into words. The best I can do is that it tastes like melted chocolate ice cream.

During the fall season the focus is on Halloween with activities like a corn maze, hayride, hot chocolate by the fire, and occasional food trucks when they don't flake out last minute ruining my plans for the day 2 years in a row now.

I wish they were open more than 3 days a week as my schedule never matches up but one day every 2 weeks. Usually I am so busy that I don't have time to make it and or forget. Still a nice place to visit and get some really,...
