We happened upon Lake Wislon after staying at the Rairoad Inn several times. Decided to stay a couple of days on our way back to Colorado and definitely glad we did- What a treat!! We stayed at Minooka Park campground and it was fabulous. I booked my reservation the same day, online, and check-in was super easy as someone was at the gate to give us a map. There are dump stations & water just prior to entering the campground as well as at the gate. Bath houses were in very good order/clean. It was quiet at night at a reasonable time , even though there were a lot of people there.The lake is amazing and we couldn't believe this was in the middle of Kansas. The lake was clean and beautiful. Lots of areas to swim if you didn't have a boat. There's a great 2.2 mile trail within walking distance of the campground. You have multiple options for camping and cabins to rent as well, they have several place to put your boat or jet sky in the water. It’s just a two hour drive north east of Wichita,Kansas.

The spaces are off the road and are a good distance from each other so it was quiet. They have a lot of places to walk. It is clean and the water was beautiful and clear.
