My time spent in Koinania, however brief, brought with it a sense of calm that you would only expect from a land so serene. The cabin I stayed at sat beside a small pond fed by a stream that originated somewhere up in the mountains. I found myself walking beside this stream for a time until I came upon a natural fjord. Upon passing over this, I followed what path there was until the terrain became as such that I no longer could. Instead I took to the creek bed itself and traveled for the better part of an hour with water in my boots, and a heart full of the beauty of the place. Gods walk this land, their origin I do not know.

We had a fabulous experience with our scouting troop this past weekend. We had special permission to tent camp, and we woke up to the most beautiful view! We used the Ranch House West for the bathrooms and kitchen facilities, and found it to be spacious, extremely clean, and well kept. I had read online that the kitchen had pots and pans, but it also had a crock pot, waffle maker, measuring cups, coffee maker, etc. I really didn’t need to bring anything but our food! Looking forward to coming back again another time. Time spent and the creek and a super friendly kitten were girl favorites for sure. Thanks for a great weekend!

The hostess gave us such a warm welcome and such detailed instructions on how to get to the accommodation. She even stayed up to greet us as we were arriving quite late after a long drive. We stayed at Koinania Valley over Christmas, so to ensure we were having a good time she gave us access to a TV and a large movie collection. The accommodation was so comfortable and well thought out, a lot of attention was payed to furnishing and decorating it. There were also some beautiful, friendly cats that roam freely. Overall a wonderful place to stay, thoroughly enjoyed it.

An absolutely amazing experience! We rented the whole ranch for a family reunion (41 people ages 4-73) in June. Our experience was exactly what we hoped for! Upon arriving, it was obvious that the ranch is a bit secluded (in the forest, down a gravel road), and we were worried it might be closer to camping than we wanted. That worry vanished as soon as we stepped into the modern, air-conditioned, lovely buildings. My wife complained (I didn't) that the ac was too cold! Kitchens were up-to-date (nicer than mine at home!), and there was plenty of comfortable seating. The pond was an immediate and constant draw for all of the kids, and the amount of activities provided (paddle boats, games, movies, etc) was more than enough to keep all occupied! Some of the youth complained about the (very) limited wi-fi, but that was a positive for us as it encouraged them to disconnect from their devices and interact with one another. The private access to the Black river was wonderful - especially with the accommodations there (picnic table, covered gazebo, etc), and was visited often. Owners were amazing - more than willing to help in any way desired. When we had an issue with a caterer, they (the owners) immediately tried to help come up with possible solutions. Also, when we had an incident (someone slipped in the gravel and broke their leg), the owners did everything they could to help make sure we focused on our needs and not worry about the ranch. It truly was an amazing ranch with everything we wanted! Oh - and if you get the chance to try the goat's milk ice cream, make sure to get strawberry - it is the best strawberry ice cream...

We had an amazing stay for my brothers wedding. The owners were very friendly folks and really let us have our way with the place. They were close enough to help but far enough to give you your space to let lose. There's a spring fed pond with paddle boats, it was great for swimming and fishing. We reeled in 6 large mouth during our stay, the bass were a bit picky, but it didn't take long before we figured out what they will hit on. There is a crystal clear stream that was also great for swimming. Bring water shoes the rocks aren't easy to walk on. There were some decent size fish coming through but I didn't put in a line. If you are looking to get away this is the place,, its not near anything! So Bring food and ice in with you. However the kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils to cook and eat with, glasses, pots, pans, the living quarters was very cozy and there was no shortage of grills, chairs, shade trees, and green grass for the kids to play. There are a few fire pits set up for small bon fires with hoses nearby. Our only complaint was Bella, she was so loving and friendly and the little kids were ready for all that puppy love. Nobody was hurt, it just wasn't a good setting for a puppy. The owners were quick and happy to help so that quickly became a non issue. The pictures really don't do the place any justice. The view was amazing the stay was wonderful! We just got home and the family is already asking when we...

This is an amazing place to stay! The hosts are wonderful and helped us out on a few items we failed to bring with us.

When you pull in, the grounds are so neat and maintained with plenty of room to roam. We stayed in the Ranch House East which was very spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed to make our own meals. It had plenty of options like books, magazines, board games, and activities we never got around to. So much thought is put into this place by the hosts.

Our kids loved the ranch house, playing in the crystal clear water that is private and secluded, the paddle boats just a few feet away from the loding, and the beautiful view of the stars at night.

This place is very remote and when all of the lights from the lodging gets shut off at night there is a one-of-a-kind view of a sky filled with stars. We were lucky and stayed a couple of nights that had clear skies without a moon in the first few hours of night. In those viewing conditions we could make out some clouds of the Milky Way with our naked eye after just a couple of minutes of letting our eyes adjust. The sky just looked like glitter on a clear night. It is beyond words!

This is place...
