As much as I love the Southwest for astrophotography and stargazing, I love finding elite gems like City of Rocks. I had 3 nights of warm weather, no crowds, and the clearest and darkest skies that put an iconic place like Arches on notice… As much as I love the social aspect of Night Photography, I enjoy the solitude and not having to deal with crowds, permits, or other people’s headlamps all night was peaceful as heck. Did not get a chance to visit due to the entry road not maintenanced, the snow and mud did not allow car to make it. However I heard great things about the city of rocks and how you can walk throughout the area, and see more beauty...
