Coffey County Historical Museum — Attraction in Burlington

Very interesting exhibits. The collection of 600 dolls in glass cases is worth the trip. Also of interest are the recreated dentist and optician offices. I'm old enough to remember when they were state of the art. The telephone switchboard reminded us of growing up in rural Minnesota. The staff is very nice and friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. The displays are clean and well organized. An eclectic mix of memorabilia is housed in this museum. You can tour for free, but there is a contribution container to help defray costs. There's a large display of military items and old guns, particularly rifles. There's also a doll collection, quilts, and turn of the century household goods.
