Mile of Ledges / Tunxis Trail , This trail is a challenging hike through the woods, featuring muddy, steep, and unmaintained sections with faded signs. While it's connected to another trail that's similarly muddy and unmaintained, the scenery is still beautiful, albeit not particularly special. The trail requires complete hiking gear and isn't suitable for children or pets. Be aware that signs can be misleading, and the map may not be accurate. The trail consists of loops and ups and downs, making navigation tricky. If you're an experienced hiker looking for a rugged adventure, this trail might be for you. However, be prepared for the challenges and potential frustrations.

There's different parking areas for the spot but we followed them out from the alturas app which took us to a little parking area that will probably hold about six cars then you will head out to the trail it is definitely a moderate hike with some up and down wet at times very slippery Rocky muddy. Once we got to The Ledges we had a dog with us that got struck by a porcupine because he wanted to see what was in one of the caves. If you have pets please try to leash them around that area.

Awesome Trail, lot of insects. It has straights, uphill, down hill, road sections and a lot of rocks to be scaled. Some section cannot be scaled by pets.

Awesome hike. Strenuous at times. You need a good sense of balance and agility for certain sections. May be difficult for older people or dogs, but there are some trail work arounds to avoid some of the more...
