This trail is so perfect for a daily walk all year long, it 2 1/8 miles long so a little over 4 miles round trip, flat well matintained, port-a-potties at both ends however the one at the North end is at the parking lot not at the end of the trail its about two block further.

This trail has benches to rest on, views of the Cascades and Olympic mountains Baker seems to always give us a peak of her splendor, the Islands, sail boats, the Eagles the sea otters and other array birds makes this a perfect walk with a loved one or by yourself.

I would say a walker or wheelchair would be able to use this trail strollers, young kids on bikes, big bikes, and dogs are all allowed on this Trail but you must pick up the poop.

It does get a little windy at times so bring a wind jacket.

Love this trail, I am on it at least three times a week if not four when in town and weather permitting.

Below are a few pictures I have taken with my phone while...

What a great place for a walk and fresh air! Just a crushed gravel pathway for 4-1/4 miles round trip. The walking path sits atop a dike along a mud flat then out to a large bay. Very flat and wide and easy to walk on. Herons and ducks and seagulls will accompany you. There are mileage markers along the way informing walkers of their progress. I decided to push on to the end and back. There are several park benches along the way so if you want to rest and enjoy the uniqueness of this place, you can. Lots if walkers out the day I went but still open enough to have a relaxing time. Just a few minutes off Hwy 20, its a gem. I can see why so many...

Went for what we thought was going to be a fun and nice walk ended with our car being broken into and robbed of a purse. A black dodge ram pickup pulled in front of the trailhead parking lot on the main road as we where almost back to the vehicle and then we noticed it speeding off towards the beach/campgrounds didn't think much of it until we noticed the passenger window shattered out so we ran to the vehicle and the purse was gone and the window was still crackling. I won't be leaving my vehicle parked there for that walk ever again not...

If you are looking for an easily accessible walking trail, this one id for you. You can bike it but it is a short ride. Breathtaking views of the bay and Skagit farmlands. Birders will love all the birding there. Note, it can get windy along the trail so you may want to bring a jacket. Gravel paths so not too muddy. You will want to use the porta potty at the beginning of the trail by the parking area there is no other.
