Inks Lake State Park in Burnet, Texas might be just another, but follow the trail down a small canyon to the Devils Water Hole, and you have an adventure. The Texas summer time sunshine is no joke, so the short hike might bite at you. At the bottom of the canyon lies a cold water spring, that is so clear and refreshing that you will never want to leave. You can dive from steep cliffs along some of the edges, or hike further up the trail to a waterfall with small pools at the bottom. Many whitetail deer towards the top of the trails and grassy areas. Beautiful...

The water was nice and clear and felt great. The ground is very rocky so I recommend water shoes. Saw a few turtles swimming along. Lots of kids and teens jumping into the water to provide entertainment. Not much tree cover so bring lots of sunscreen. Not much ground space outside the water to store your items or rest so I'd recommend bringing a basket or bag to keep stuff in. I brought a waterproof bag for my phone and keys and brought it into the...

What a great place to take the family for a nice relaxing day to float around. There's a great cliff to jump off of for your daredevils to jump off of into the lake with a large rock for your extreme daredevils. I'm sure it gets busy on the weekends so be prepared because there are not tables or anything for you to set your belongings on. Be sure and bring you some chairs if you are planning to sit out...

Wonderful place for hiking 🥾. We visited on weekend and definitely recommend to buy tickets in advance. I love the view and the fact that there are multiple activities to do, whether you enjoy hiking or just want to go for a swim 🏊🏻‍♀️! The place is super safe and everything is very accessible ( restrooms, parking lots, etc.) Definitely a must visit for summertime!
