I only got maybe 1.5 miles in and destroyed my derailleur, bent my chain and rear cassette. It's a beautiful place to ride. I wish I could have seen more. The trails are not clearly marked so it's hard to find your way around. It would be wise to bring more than usual hydration and snacks because it would be real easy to get lost and turned around. I had to walk back and got turned around a couple of times. Make sure you take pictures of the trails st the kiosk before you ride, pay your 10 bucks, sign the waiver and leave your contact info, especially emergency contact info. I'll definitely be back now that my bike is repaired.

So 1 week later I went back. We started at the parking lot and went full circle around the land. I was out there riding for over 5 hours. I could have been out there for at least another 3 to get more trails in but ran out of water. Carry extra water/ hydration with you! There are jump trails and flow trails with jumps. There is single track and fire roads they have it all. We ran into the owner before we left and he seemed like a really nice guy. He said they have a lot of plans for his property. As of now it's awesome because I did not see 1 other rider out there. I'm sure when people get wind of this place it will start to get packed. Another tip is bring tools with you incase something breaks or you need to fix a tire. If you have to walk back it will be a long walk because you really can't just go from point A to point B. Always keep mindful of your surroundings so you remember how...

I am giving this place 5 stars because I enjoy riding my bike, especially in places that challenge me. However, our ride started out a little rough with us having to climb through the chains of the first gate and carefully get our bikes through as well. In the past, this gate was not locked. Maybe there was something we missed, but we had the obstacle of getting through the gate first. Also, the owners or trail builders really need to mark trails more clearly. We had a hard time following trails even with the help of the Trailforks App. They do provide a simple map of the current location that is painted on a pallet. Yes, a pallet. They also provide a small paper map to view. If you're tired, viewing a small map can be highly frustrating. At $10 a person, I would expect better signage of trails, and trails to be marked clearly, especially at crossroads, etc. Small rant over...this place is a great place to ride, hike, or jog. The trails consist of beginner to expert level trails, as well as some jump lines. If you enjoy dirt jumps that range from small to large, this is your place. They recently created some progressive drops to help build confidence and skill. Despite my small rant in the beginning of this review, I would highly recommend this RPR. YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST! So go get your bike and ride...

This place has great potential to be awesome, but like most mtb trail systems in Texas, it is poorly managed and not well taken care of. I went there today and the place looked like it hadn’t been maintained for YEARS! As I was putting on my gear, another guy came up and demanded his money back because the trails were “unridable”. Later as I was just getting to the trail head, I ran into about 8 more guys who were also bailing early because it was so over grown and unridable, and they were all on e-bikes. I shoulda followed, but thought I would give it a shot anyway. Trails were terrible; over grown, filled with prickly thorns and thistles, and largely washed away. The jump lines were just as bad and the features looked very sketchy. It was miserable. It’s only $15, but I’ve been on much better maintained trails that were free to ride! I hate to be so negative because the mtb community is so positive and connected, but the guy at the front straight up lied about trail conditions. As I was leaving I heard him lying to someone else just showing up. This area got hit hard by flooding not too long ago, so I’ll cut them slack and...

The trail is pretty badly marked and trail maps are old, faded, and confusing. The trail itself is nice with some pretty views, however the trailhead area is pretty rough. It looks like an old neglected place that hosted spartan type activities back in its heyday. I brought my family there from DFW, paid the $35 for 2 adults and 3 young kids and they were all disappointed. The lake (pond) looks uninviting, pavillion closed off, pump track was hidden with weeds, overall just so neglected. Will not come back and dont recommend, go to flat rock ranch instead. I messaged them regarding trail status and never gotten a response, that tells you their priorities. But hey, bathrooms were clean, that may be due to lack of trail users. Such a shame, this place has potential to be a mtb-ing destination

This is the most beautiful place I’ve ridden in central TX and they have excellent amenities. The only reason I didn’t rate five stars is because the trails are not clearly marked and it is very difficult to even stay on a given trail for long before accidentally wandering off. Every time I’ve been there, I spent a lot of time trying to get my bearings and find the trail I wanted to be on. All that said, I still highly recommend you go if you’re looking for beautiful landscapes and a wide range of trails for all skill levels. Just go when it’s not too hot or too dry. These trails actually do very well after a rain so it’s a great place to go when it’s too wet to ride in Austin. Oh, and go with someone who’s familiar with the trails. It will make a world of difference.

Camping tl;dr: - Electricity: not near the campsites but there is a kitchen within walking distance w outlets. I have a CPAP so this was a bummer. - Running water: kitchen areas and bathroom - Showers: yes, in bathroom - Firepits: yes, bring your own firewood, no firewood shop - Grill: a bulky one in kitchen, looks hard to clean. I didnt see one on the campsite (although firepit works if you have a grate). Gas stove in kitchen doesn't work. This place is beautiful! I've been here twice, pnce for the Spartan Super and once for a school campout. This is the perfect place for an obstacle race so there are several throught the year, including the Spartan trifecta and Bonefrog. Go knock that item off your bucket list!
