Uplift Vineyard — Attraction in Burnet

We attended the Harvest Lobster Dinner at Uplift Winery. We are members of Wm Chris but have not joined Uplift, yet. This was their first large dinner like this, for 100 people. They found out the morning of the function that the new AC system was not working! The staff secured three large cooling units , but that didn't change the fact that 100 people were showing up for dinner, in a new metal building! I give the staff all the credit for making this a wonderful evening. They served all the boiled large shrimp you could eat, oysters and a variety of other delights. Not to mention the unlimited wines...that were wonderful. The lobster dinner was served like a "low country boil"...with all the trimmings. Once again, the stall constantly served wines. I understand that some got served slowly, but again, this was their first function like this, the AC went out so I give them credit for working hard under difficult circumstances......and we thought the dinner was five...

Uplift is easily in the top tier of Texas wine and compares favorably to wine from anywhere. My favorite was the ‘22 Malbec, but all of it was superb. The tasting experience we had today was fantastic. We have tasted wine all over the world, and Jonathan is one of the most knowledgeable and personable guides we have had the pleasure to meet. Everything was top notch. I particularly appreciate that he was able to scale his information and approach to our party, which included pretty seasoned wine folk, as well as some newcomers. He didn’t talk down to the less knowledgeable and engaged them expertly, while also including enough technical information to keep the more seasoned tasters interested. Food pairings were very good, and the vineyard tour was a very nice...

This was an incredible experience! Christian was so knowledgeable and passionate about the wine and the vineyard in general. It was very personalized and created a very intimate experience. The wine is amazing, balanced, and full of flavor. There were no bad wines like you may experience in other winery tastings. They also provide little bites of an elevated caprese salad during your tasting. All of it is from Texas and so fresh! They do provide information for a membership but are not pushy at all.
