Visited the Kiger Gorge Overlook Monday 8/10/2020. The overlook itself is not handicap accessible as it is at the end of a rocky path, parking area is gravel. Roads in this area are gravel and washboard. Would not recommend for young children as there are steep drop offs at the end. Beautiful area and a must see. Great information kiosk at the end. Big parking area, no bathrooms here. We saw a hunter here on a quad and and 2 other people in a car. We also found a geocache we weren't looking for here. The trail to the Overlook...
Read moreI think Kiger Gorge is one of the great vistas of North America. And it is right next to the East Rim of Steens, which is in the same category. You can even hike to a spot where you can see both at once! Birds! Wildflowers! Spectacular sunrises & sunsets!
