Love the beach & the playground. I have some mobility issues and am able to park close to the bathrooms, beach, AND the playground. I have a 5 year old and need to be able to take him places to play, and to swim, and how easily I can get to everything and how much walking I have to be able to do is unfortunately a significant factor for me. The one negative is that I was there later this evening and wasn't quite gone from the park & parking lot at dark. It is clearly a hangout spot for teenagers or young adults, who started blaring their music (NOT the kind I want my child to hear d/t language, etc). I also got a strong whiff of marijuana, which I don't want myself or my child around. I will absolutely come here again, but I'll make sure that I am long...

We enjoyed swimming at Crystal Beach! There was a roped area for fishing and swimming. The sand was less rocky than some and softer than I expected. The edge of the water has weeds, yet they didn't bother us. There were so many tiny fish swimming around us. It was fun! My son caught a few with a net and then released them. My kids also had fun finding shells too. The water is pretty shallow. I didn't have to worry about my young children getting too deep. There were water toys available. Also a playground is a little ways from the lake. Several picnic tables are above the beach and some shade from...

I had an amazing first time at Crystal Lake Beach. I was pleasantly surprised coming from Florida’s Gulf to find a local beach with everything you could want for a family fun-day like a huge sandy beach that has a great water table for the kids to play with and who doesn’t love to build SandCastle’s? They have a nice Concession stand for drinks and frozen treats. They also have multiple gazebos with grills and picnic tables. And did i mention the Playgrounds? I think iv’e said too much because you should see it...

Nice public beach! Pros: Great sandy area , roped off swim area with gentle slope into deeper water, play structure, volleyball, restroom facilities, concession stand (after noon in summer) plenty of shade options. Cons: a little messy for a weekday morning, playground is removed from lake area so its not super feasible to have littles doing both the playground and swimming at the same time and maintain supervision. I could see this park getting very busy on weekends.
