🌿 Did you know that there’s a new multi use trail in Pisgah National Forest? 🌿 📍Butter Gap Trail There’s a new trail called the Butter Gap Trail in Pisgah National Forest that can be used for both hiking and biking, and it’s just beautiful! This trail isn’t on AllTrails yet, though it is on the Trail Forks app, but it’s well marked and easy to access. Park at the Fish Hatchery parking lot and start on the Cat Gap Loop that starts behind the bridge. Then you’ll reach a fork and you’ll see the Butter Gap Trail to your right, which you’ll want to take. There are some beautiful bridges on this trail that were hand built with lumber harvested on site! Next, you’ll take the Picklesimer Connector back to the Cat Gap Loop, which you can take back to the parking lot for a total of 3.5 miles RT. Or if you have the time and are up for a longer hike, you can hike the full Cat Gap loop as well. ⚠️Remember to follow all of the Leave No Trace principles when you hit the trails! Will you be hiking or biking the Butter Gap Trail soon? 🎥: @Katie #asheville #ashevillenc #wnc #pisgah #blueridgemountains #visitasheville #pisgahnationalforest #nchiking | New multi use trail | Pisgah National Forest | Pisgah hiking and biking trail | Asheville area trails |
