I came here for the "Hike" (All trials) Great little hike. I was concerned based on some of the other reviews. This is a fairly easy trail, however there are some larger inclines and declines which will escalate it to a moderate trail. Certain parts of it. There is some road noise from the highway, but nothing crazy. There was at least one intersection that had mountain bikers. If you're bringing younger kids, it may be a challenge at certain points. If you're going around the outside, there are multiple little shoot-offs that make it easier.

Nice place. Decent dirt trails that were well kept when these pics we're taken (October). They were good for running. It's pretty quiet, didn't run past more than 5 people on one of the 3 miles trails. I did get confused and end up on a bike trail. The trails shift with the season and I think I missed a turn somewhere. You're able to download the PDF of the trail maps and they are relatively easy to read. Some of the trails are steep, but they have placed benches after some of the more strenuous hills.

Terrace Oaks @ approx 7am. Critical habitat restoration project on-going, and so she looks a tad desolate ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Old faithful will resume her glory, when its all done, Iโ€™m certain... @ early dawn, the dew is undisturbed, and the air fills your lungs BIG. The hiking trail is just long & rugged enough to help work up a sweat, hopefully burn off some of that yummy summer nosh๐Ÿ˜. As you can probably tell by now, I have a special affinity for this place. Been coming here 8+ years. LOVE it ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

I have lived in Burnsville for most of my life and I grew up not that far from this park, but I never really checked out the trails until yesterday! Wow! What was I thinking? I should've been taking full advantage of this park! I'm so surprised that out of all the parks in Burnsville, Savage, Apple Valley, and Eagan, that I never really checked this one out! And over all of the years I lived in Burnsville, why didn't I ever check this out? I rode my Fat Bike there and as soon as I hit the trails, I instantly fell in love with the layout! The only thing I think they can change to make it better is, put up more trail maps along the way, so you can have a better idea of where you are most of the time! Otherwise, I can't think of anything else I would want to change, except maybe a few more trails or connecting trails! Other than that, I love this park and I garuntee that I will be there often now! Hopefully I'll see a lot of other people there...

A good park in the neighborhood. My sister and I have learned how to mountain bike on the main trail, and we are still getting the hang of it. Very good beginner trail. Although at the beginning of the season walkers still tell you to be careful because it's a walking trail but the website says it's not after April 1. Walkers please stay off the mountain biking trails. The technical loop has some bigger hills and some features at the end. The "trees" that they cut down that I see everyone complaining about are actually an invasive species called buckthorn which have, well, thorns on them and it drives out the native plant species. A good hilly run/walk as well. I wouldn't go xcountry skiing here because the hills...
