Nice little park in a valley, good picnic areas with charcoal grills at various spots. This park is one of the best around during the summer when it's hot, most of the park is covered by natural shade.
There is a larger play area with swings and a volleyball/badminton net, and farther down the road a smaller area for little kids that is very removed for the big kids area, great for those that have just smaller children, a little harder for those with a mix of ages.
The scenery is beautiful, the drainage and some features done in stone instead of concrete gives things a very nice aesthetic.
Only down sides are that the play area is long overdue for some mulch. The bathrooms, while relatively modern for outhouses, could be cleaner: the men's "room" was flooded, and the urinal had much in debris in it. Wear good shoes when visiting vs sandals.
Still, the soothing sounds of the stream next to the picnic areas and relaxing atmosphere were spot on.
With the steam so near the play areas, bug repellent is highly recommended for those that tend to attract mosquitos.
Also suggested that if you are visiting with children, bring change of shoes and clothing as well as towels just in case, kids tend to not resist the temptation...
