*NOT FOR THE DISABLED! For starters the disabled parking spots are all rocks which they painted, so as soon as we walked on the rocks it destroyed the disability parking spots signage. Second the fact that the parking spots AND the main walkway to the park are all big loose rocks makes it very hard to push a walker, wheelchair on, I hurt my arms trying to push my walker to the park, and to push it through the grass was just as hard. Don't get my wrong it's a beautiful spot for a picnic and bbq, but it needs improvements, like there are a lot of trees between the park area and the water, I'm not sure why they didn't at least cut down some of the trees but they should so we can enjoy how beautiful Lake Huron is while we eat. I hope they make some improvements like at least paving the parking lot and main park walkway from the parking lot, if they did I would then change my review to at least 4 stars. (I never used the bathroom so can't comment on that, and I couldn't get to the beach because the walkway wasn't paved so I can't comment on...
Read moreArea is beautiful, water was nice, but the rocks are harsh on the feet. The time & trail to get there was terrible!! Parking is very far and you have to walk up a winding walkway then across a bridge (over the highway) and then down into the walkway for the park itself. There is another parking lot that is off to the side of the park but it is still a long walk through terrible rocks & bugs before you make it there & that's if it's not full & you can find parking. I slipped on a rock & twisted my ankle while hauling our stuff and couldn't & still can't walk properly it's been 4 days now. The construction around this place made it difficult to get through & the drive time longer. Overall the beauty of this place doesn't make up for the rest so I won't be...
