Albanese Garden Center — Attraction in Bushkill Township

Probably one of my favorite places to visit since moving to NJ. Albanese Garden Center and Pond Center is a 3rd to 4th generation Family Owned Business. They have a large property with what seems to be everything you’ll need to start, improve, change or maintain your pond or garden. They do follow local masking and social distance guidelines. I personally enjoyed seeing the various fish, toads, plants and saplings they sell and care for. I liked that all employees are very friendly and informative. The environment is full of many different ideas for personalizing your own home, garden or pond. The shop layout is fun and extremely peaceful. They have seasonal cleaning services and other services for pond maintenance. I’ve added lots of photos to show what I’m taking about. It’s seem endless to what you can find here.

I was visiting the center to find out how to start setting up the pond on our property. Steve’s son started helping us but we had a lot of detailed questions about the pond. So, we were then turned over to Steve, the owner. Steve was extremely detailed and happy to explain the long complex process of cleaning the pond, setting up the filter and when we will be able to add fish. He gave a scientific background on how to maintain our pond. They were simple and effective techniques that anyone could do. He continued by giving us our first task which was to find out if our pump and filter worked. He was even kind enough to look at the filter and make repairs, if we were able to bring it in. This nearly 100-year-old garden center has a fascinating history and a charming legacy. We had the pleasure of being introduced to Dante, the son of the current family owner, who provided us with an engaging overview of the business’s history. I highly recommend stopping by and asking him about the story behind this longstanding establishment.

What a great place run by great people! I come here for my fish pond and plant/tree needs. The staff here are so nice, a fun time and very knowledgeable. They will go above and beyond to make sure every customer has their needs met. When I am here it feels like home, not just a store.
