Nice quiet walk through Preston Park#doglife #walking #prestonpark

Map is perfect w/ distances to judge time it will take (was fighting sunset when I visited, from out-of-town). Grounds are very, very well-maintained & except grass cutting & major maintenance (which is done by boro?), seems to be done all by volunteers. Brochure tickles my history curiosity & has me planning some research into more about who Dr Preston was. So glad this special place has been preserved & is so well maintained.

We're always looking for new places to walk our dog. We didn't mind driving the extra miles to find this gem of a park. Walking through the woods on an improved trail was a highlight. Light breezes through a semi-open woodland was exactly what we were looking for today. Preston Park delivered. Kips run was our favorite today.

This a very beautiful and interesting place. You can easily use a jeep stroller on the well defined trails. The largest loop can be hiked in less than 2 hours. It's a great place to bring the kids for a short hike. The maps of the trails leaves a little to be desired but the place is relatively small so it's not a huge deal. Just make sure you don't inadvertently stay on one of the trails that leaves the property or you may be hiking a little longer than...

An absolutely beautiful park nestled right in the middle of busy Butler Township. It is a quiet, forested, 90-acre retreat that was once Dr. Frank Preston's private laboratory and home. There's something there for everyone: hiking trails, picnic tables, a large pond for fishing, and an arboretum with many different species of trees. The park is also home to seven state champion trees! I go there all the time. I highly recommend...
