Great Experience! One of my teenage boys and I attended a Goat Yoga class at Hux Family Farm. What a wonderful experience! Indeed, a goat did climb on my son's back! He thought it was hilarious and he loved it! Several goats made themselves at home on our mats. It was like each goat picked their own person. Yes, you can work around the goats and do traditional yoga. The instructors are also happy to move the goats if they are in your way if you desire. We thoroughly enjoyed working around the goats. For us, we spent more time bonding with goats bonding than practicing Yoga, but it's your choice. The ducks in the background were so fun to watch and I am absolutely in love with the farm dog. The farm is clean and well maintained, the animals are all happy and well cared for, the young couple who run the farm and the yoga instructor are lovely. We purchased some of the goat cheese desserts. Oh wow! I will make the trip back just for the goat cheese delicacies. My HB loved them! I have already planned an outing with my co-workers at Blue Water Spa. My 13 yo can't wait to go back and my husband is also looking forward to going. We will soon be there with the whole family, and I want to take pretty much everyone I know.

I practice Kundalini, but no Yoga experience is necessary for this special and memorable experience.I highly recommend this experience! Bravo to Hux Family Farm for sharing your beautiful farm with the public and creating a special experience for families, friends or individuals to enjoy.

As I write this, the world is mourning the loss of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain. Goat Yoga is certainly not a cure for depression. But it could possibly provide a break and bring pure joy. We all need as many opportunities as possible to focus completely on something pure, simple and fun, if even for just one hour. Try Goat Yoga. Do it alone or share it with...

Great experience! The farm emailed me with details prior to the event reminding about things like bringing a towel for goat yoga, avoiding jewelry or skin products that aren’t safe for animals, etc. There is a blue painted sign at the corner of the drive and about 12 parking spaces in a short grassy area. Large vehicles will fit but may benefit from backing into a space!

The owner met everyone at the gate. There are ducks and dogs that roam freely in this area and are very friendly. There is a porta potty available for use. This is a fun event for adults or kids; this time it was all adults. Sometimes the owner’s young daughter is present.

Before and during getting started, they explained helpful information like how the goats go to the bathroom freely because they can’t control it or a reminder to remove jewelry. Once entering the covered tent area, you can lay out a yoga mat and a towel over it. Then you take off your shoes and you can hang it on the fence around the area or the staff will help put them up for you. You can keep your water bottle near you - goats may sniff it or bump it.

There’s a brief explanation about the goats. There were 23 goats and 2 sheep. They all have names and like to be pet under their chin and on their sides.

You don’t have to do any yoga but there is a very entry level meditation and yoga poses you can follow - if there isn’t a goat in your lap! It lasts for about 1 hour.

Then there is a small shop area of products to choose from including crystals, t-shirts, tank tops, long sleeve shirts, goat milk soap (scented and unscented), calendars with pictures from the farm, stickers, some jewelry, mugs, and duck or goose eggs (about 50 cents per duck egg, $2 per goose egg if available). Items may depend on time of year. This is a small family owned farm and the proceeds help them care for...

I came the first time with a group of ladies in December to do “yoga with goats” and had a blast! The goats are so cute and fun and Ragnar, the Great Pyrenese dog, is a sweetheart and an unexpected Yoga dog prop. There was probably more goat cuddling on my part than yoga, but it was incredibly fun. Totally worth it! And Amanda and her husband are the nicest people you could ever meet. When I tried to come back this morning to share the experience with my husband and daughter, and light rain turned into a full on downpour, Amanda offered to let us reschedule. That was totally above and beyond given the 48 hr cancellation policy and how communicative she had been about the weather ahead of time. It was truly really kind. And even sweeter was that she still held the class for the out of town participants who would not have been able to reschedule. Talk about dedication...

This was such a great experience! The goats were so cute and affectionate. Chip sat with me the whole time and even drifted off a little. 😴 I love that they are so well trained to cuddle and be around people (and not just because they have treats or food)! The farm is family-run and has a nice and quaint ambiance. 100 points to Gryffindor and Velvet for being the sweetest horses and lovely welcoming committee. I am definitely coming back sometime to do this again! Amanda and Chandra were amazing and understanding. I recommend anyone come to this farm, whether you're a beginner and a little wary of animals or if you're an experienced animal handler! Thanks for the wonderful experience! 🐐🐎
