Not exactly at the Park but rather at the housing areas on the south side of the lake.

The end of the official summer period is here but the wildlife and water are still great to explore and have fun with.

Frogs are awesome creatures and there are plenty of them at the pond. Many other critters are abundant at the lake as well. Some are hummingbirds, chipmunks, a gazillion spiders - of like a million different species - but all gazillion have eight legs each (it’s true look it up).

The water is warm on surface (like top 2 inches) and cold below. It makes for a fun and exciting swimming experience. Don’t chicken out because it’s cold. Rumor has it that this cold lake water will put hair on your chest. (Yet...

It's an o.k. place to go for a quick break or to cool off during the summer months! The area that is available for the public to use is very small and is not kept very clean at all!!! Plus there are 2~3 small houses/cabins that are located rite next to the public use area and the owners of the houses/cabins are unfortunately not very friendly!!

Bonney Eagle Park Does not allow Dogs in the park, but it does have a small boat launch as well as 2or3 picnic tables available for the...

"Park" is a very generous term. It's a cute, small pond and easy to access boat launch, but the surrounding houses have loud, obnoxious dogs. Very little seating/parking and the "beach" is only the yard on either side of the boat launch. Really only has the capacity for one...

The Bonny Eagle Project consists of a 350-foot long diversion dam, a 164-foot long dam (constituting the intake) and two earth embankments on the main river channel, a powerhouse containing six generating units, a 347-acre impoundment and appurtenant facilities. The diversion dam is located at the so called "New River" channel while the intake and earth dikes are situated in a narrow gorge on the main river channel; a fairly large island (Bonny Eagle Island) separates the two channels. The dams create a riverine impoundment extending approximately 6.6 miles upstream. #bigmacjamie #maine #dronevideos #hydrodam #mainetheway #waterfalls #scenicmaine #mainething #beanoutsider @DJI Official

Beautifully clear water with a nice shady beach. It’s very small but a perfect shallow place for kids to splash and play
