We have followed the Originals and have attended music productions sponsored by them for more than 25+ years and we and our guests are always impressed with the performances. For a small, local theater, in rural Maine, it produces some impressive performances. Parking is close by, the neighborhood, is safe and there are always plenty of volunteers to help you park, get a seat, etc. The plays they put on are top notch whether they be comedy, drama, or musical. The husband and wife team that run the theater are always a constant but they always bring in talented guest actors to fill out the cast.
If there was one hope for the future, it would be for a sound system so that the actors voices could be projected further into the audience. Being housed in a century plus old facility the acoustics are not the best, and soft spoken actors/actresses are hard to hear by many members of the predominantly older clientele.
Being hosed in an old historic building, it was not until recently that indoor plumbing replaced the porta potties that had been outside. The cold seats in the units are not missed but the sounds of the Saco River roaring...
