Southside Ice Arena — Attraction in Byron Township

In from out of town. My son wanted to play some drop in hockey with local family members, we checked the online schedule dropped him off...NO HOCKEY. The staff knew nothing about it said we will have it tomorrow. Came back the next day, same thing only this time it said youth drop in @12 on the wall (website said all ages @12:30) at a different time. Building was hosting a youth tournament this weekend, and it seemed like the staff forgot to take out the trash and restock the restrooms at night as we were there first thing Sunday morning. The blue rink's ice was absolutely terrible. Couldn't see most of the lines, lightning has dark spots everywhere, and the ice was rutted and uneven before the first game of the day was even played. I have been attending hockey games the last couple weekends, at Southside Arena, and I’m very disappointed in the cleanliness of the restrooms. No toilet paper, toilets don’t flush well, paper all over the floor from trash not being dumped and sinks and counters filthy. I go to a game on a Saturday and when I come back on Sunday nothing has been done. Health Department might need to be called I think. Also, enough money is being spent and no heaters are ever turned on during the hockey...
