La Playita is a beautiful little slip of a local secret. The water is shallow for a long way out. Take a floatie and just look down into the clear water at the bottom life without touching your toes to raise the mud. It is magical. Boats and jet skis are not here. Brown pelicans, cool fish, turtles, yes! The sand is fine and mellow. There are places to BBQ and sit in the shade, park by your camp. The water is SO WARM.

The beach is pretty and feels remote. Would be a great place for paddle boarding or kayaking as the mangroves surrounding make the area very calm. However, for swimming, the water is very shallow and very sea weedy. Like most of the beaches in Cobo Rojo, it's beautiful, but not great...
