Place is nice and perfect for a peaceful nature experience. May be better during low season. Would gladly return if they improve on the following: Service at the Garzas Restaurant was disrespectful, if they don't see you are a guest (i.e. the wrist band), even if you show them the purchase receipt. Breakfast buffet was limited, when it is supposed to be a buffet. Coffee was not up to par either. During the Cold Festival, they must improve security, parking and the experience for the guests paying over the people that enter for free, and take over guests areas. Guests are not in charge of making their stay safe and guarantee a space for their vehicle to park on, or have to call the police on other people during their stay. Big No-No from reception crew, specially with people with disabilities. Also the health of the animals must improve, since many were stressed. Parrots need their salt and lime blocks, so they don't pick out their feathers, and the reindeer was nowhere to be found. Putting a Donkey instead was not a great idea, and a clean fish pond is very important for the tourists as well as...
Read moreThe light house was a museum with the history of the whole place. They allow you to walk up to the roof but not the light. The view of the ocean is gorgeous and the breeze you'll feel is refreshing. Then, once you've walked up to the cliffs the experience becomes one of a kind. The cliff side is covered in salt from long ago which gives the rocks a special color like pink and makes the slippery but up to the cliff this is not the case. The rocks have their instinctive color and texture which makes it look iconic. It is dangerous so I would advise against standing too close to the edge but if you stand in just the right place at just the right time, when the wind is not as strong and the waves look calm, the best picture you've ever taken will be upon you. I can say from personal experience that the sight from the cliff is beautiful and worth visiting. More so with the family. Then after the trip, you can go to the beach with your family and have...
Read moreIt's a 1.8 km walk thru this natural preserve out to playuela, the lighthouse and playa sucia. The road is closed to cars (with the new health restrictions) but walking is not restricted. Bring a small cooler with enough water. For a beautiful swim in this bay, to the left of the lighthouse - follow sign at the fork to Playuela. No facilities. As in much of PR there is an unfortunate amount of trash lining the rd to the beaches regardless of signage asking YOU to "carry out what you've brought in." I ended up carrying out a lot more than I brought and I will never understand the apparent disregard for a healthy natural habitat. Please carry a bag for your trash and bring it...
