Not sure if they've confused the word tour with the word lecture, but that's what we got. You walk into a small room with the giant sap/syrup maker in the middle, with some artifacts strewn about the walls to a lady on a stool who awkwardly greets you and talks about everything it seems but the syrup making process unless we asked. There's no tour of the farm, trees, process, or the machine running to see how it's made. Regardless, I did ENJOY talking with her and we appreciated the obvious hard work that goes into all they do, its just don't call it a tour when it's not. At. All. We enjoyed the goodies for sale at the shop and loved buying several products to support them. A bus tour came in and we were promptly exited out to make room for them.

We visited the Goodrich’s Maple Farm for an informational tour. The presentation was just inside the door for a very informative talk and a treat of “sugar on ice” while the group listened to the history of the farm. I learned things that I had not known before about the process and the difference in various types of sugars and syrups. There was also a store with all kinds of maple-based products. There is no bathroom inside, but 2 porta potties outside.

We had a great visit to learn about how maple is farmed and produced. The tour was informative and thorough, and the shop had a wide array of beautiful candies, syrups, and other maple goods. Prices are reasonable, and credit cards are accepted. We would gladly recommend this as a stop for anyone in the area wanting to pick up some nice gifts!

We pulled in and the parking lot was empty. This was on Saturday approximately 4pm, they had already been closed for 4 hours. The gentleman came out of the trailer he was loading and we asked if we could purchase some syrup. We were traveling from NY and had a request from one of our parents they would like Vermont Maple Syrup. he allowed us in the gift shop and he began to give us a brief summary of the difference in shades of the syrup and what they are used for. We were only there for about 20 mins but we sure did make his accommodations worth opening for. The selection of syrup, rubs, jerky, cheese and other items such as sweatshirts and wood ornaments surpassed what we expected. They even had dog treats for our pups at home in NY. Thank you sir, we didn't get your name but our parents really appreciate you accommodating their request. We also appreciate you taking the time to talk with us and give us the meaning behind the difference in colors and other things in your cute shop! We were truly blessed to...

This family is incredible. Our bus had a flat tire on their property, we called for a tire change at the same time the business was closing. This family left for the night to take care of their own business. When they came back two hours later we were still there waiting on the repairs

This family brought water, cheese, donuts and beef sticks to a full bus of strangers. Ruth Goodrich also told us stories about there family to pass the time. This will be a family and business I will never forget. I hope everyone that visits Cabot VT stops to visit the Goodrich’s Maple Farm. You’ll never meet...
