Piedmont Lake — Attraction in Cadiz

I drove up to check the lake out. I've heard it's a beautiful area. I couldn't find public access areas. I ended up in the private members-only marina. I went back and tried the other road and ended up on the hill where there are private cabins (very nice area and beautiful lake homes there) that led to a dead end. I got frustrated and left. I love nature, hiking, and water, and I was excited about checking out a new place to enjoy these activities. There were no signs or directions to let you know where public access is. Not sure I'll go back unless someone familiar with the area...

Beautiful lake that the Buckeye Trail passes alongside on the westside of the lake. The trailhead is at the marina on Marina Road.
