Incredible experience!! If you can choose one thing to do while visiting Puerto Rico, it should be this! Patricia, Sammy and Hannah were absolutely steller tour guides and kept us safe and entertained during our trek up and the rappel down the beautiful El Salto waterfall. We started in San Juan where we met the lovely Hannah and picked up other members from our group. Patricia drove us like a champ through the Winding mountain to our meeting location. After a brief safety meeting, we were loaded up with helmets and harnesses. We started up a super steep hill and made our way immediately into the beautiful river loaded with rocks! The scenery is jaw droppingly beautiful as you are submerged within the jungle like environment. You use every muscle in your body climbing up the mountain. There are many ropes to help guide you, but this adventure is best for those who are in decent physical condition. Although, our awesome guides displayed patience of a Saint for the ones who struggled as well. I am simply terrified of heights and when I say I had zero anxiety for the rappel portion of this adventure, I really mean it. I had the utmost trust in our guides and they double downed with a belay line as an extra safety measure. It was AMAZING and kind of hard to describe in just a few words, but I promise you will not regret this tour!! The rappelling was incredible and made me feel alive. Patricia was a beast and extremely knowledgeable, Hannah so encouraging and Sammy so simply delightful and always there to get you up or take a hand to help you down. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about this. At the end of the tour, you sit around family style and have a delicious lunch that prepares you for your well earned afternoon nap. Do it because...
Read moreWOW is the only thing that I have to say! This was worth it and much more. From the convenience of the pickup and how flexible they were with me. My experience started the day before when they started texting me and just making sure everything was good and where I could have been picked up at making it easy for everyone else. The ride was great, also they stopped at a store to use the restroom before we got to the jungle. I have to say also that the music was on point. Getting to the destination was beautiful. We parked at the owner’s grandmother’s house which has a very warm touch and kindness that a lot of people have never seen before. After we got into our harnesses and helmets, we started the steep climb to start the trail. They had safety ropes along the way that helped a lot. They gave great advice as to how to stay safe and just about the entire time there was a guide in the front, center, and the end watching us. Working our way up to some beautiful spots to take pictures was amazing. When we got to do the repelling off the waterfall was unforgettable 100%, they took everyone’s phone and took pictures of them on the way down so you could share it with friends and family. Waterfalls rappelling, I was very nervous, but they talked me through it and I definitely felt safe doing it. After the repelling, we went on to 3 zip lines that were so cool. After a half day of hiking, rappelling, and zip lining we had an authentic dinner prepared by the owner’s grandmother that was so good. Don’t second guess yourself on this adventure because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity you will not want to miss out on. Our amazing guides were Hannah, Ellie, and Sammy all were understanding and great at...
Read moreThis tour was SOOOO much fun! I was already super excited about the trip before my vacation, and it exceeded my expectations. The hike in the luscious rainforest was beautiful, and every activity along the way was like a new experience. As advertised, we trekked through the refreshing river, did some rock climbing and ziplining -- but most of all, I was blown away by the waterfall rappelling. I've never experienced that before in my life, and it was such a thrill. And yet I felt incredibly safe the entire time thanks to our wonderful guides who were friendly, fun, and informative. And perhaps best of all, we were rewarded after our adventure with a delicious home-cooked meal by our guide's abuelita (grandma), which was such a special treat
Some advice for adventurers interested in this tour: This is a challenging but accessible experience. My boyfriend and I are pretty active but at times it did feel like a workout. But there were some kids on our tour so definitely doable for a variety of ages Wear good shoes but keep in mind that you're going to be knee-deep (possible waist deep) in the river. I wore lightweight hiking shoes and those worked out well, but regular sneakers with good tread should also be good Keep a positive, open-minded attitude and take the time to look around at the beauty of nature -- you'll get a lot more out of the...
