The Mountain Mermaid — Attraction in Calabasas

When I was a little kid, my dad lived across the way. We were friends with the owners and used to go very frequently.. Especially since they had shows featuring the very famous, Danny Elfman and his troupe, when Oingo Boingo was a theatrical group and not a music group. The house was truly amazing.. In the 70s, we and others used to swim in the pool and off season, it was green and filled with frog eggs!! Such fun memories as a kid in the 70s and so glad the Mermaid tavern still exists to this day, even more beautiful than in it's day, and continues to provide happiness to couples getting married and making beautiful...

Bill and Jade were a pleasure to work with at the Mermaid! The fountains, plants, butterflies, and decor are tasteful and eclectic. There is a sense of romance as soon as you enter through the gate! Can’t recommend this place enough for a wedding venue. Bill is attentive, listens, and cares.. and has great taste when it comes to curating the aesthetic at the Mermaid. Absolutely a hidden gem! Without a doubt the nicest lodging we've stayed at in someone's home and we're excited to see how they continue to add to the place.
