Extremely interesting short run for anybody who loves trail running in the Santa Monica Mountains. From Viewridge the trail runs downwards towards Santa Maria, passing a few landmarks other people have described. Once at Santa Maria I normally run a few hundred feet towards TCB and then up on Summer Hill Ranch Rd. This little trail I run as long as I can parallel to Santa Maria which the trail joins again, shortly before Santa Maria turns into a private road. I then return on Santa Maria to the original Viewridge trail. When on your way back, just about after the swing, you can add another trail that heads up a hill West of the Viewridge trail. Follow that trail all the way to Voltaire which will lead you back...

One of the best trails that I’ve been around. Parking is available across the street. We hiked 3 miles and didn’t get to the end. Easy hike but not good for disabled people. Dogs are allowed but on leash. Now (April) full of flowers. There are some areas that you can sit and enjoy the nature but not bench or...
