Ruehs Park — Attraction in Caledonia Charter Township

It wasn't much for a big play area(they did have an ok playground). However it was BEAUTIFUL bc you could walk right up to the water's edge of the Thornapple River, like it was right level with you almost. They have a big open area for dogs or kids to run. Also you can walk quite a lil ways along the river. We even found shells. HOWEVER on the flip side the only downfall was that the water is so close. This park is gorgeous, yet small. I wanted to check it out before my friends and I go on our tubing trip in a week or so. We went to see the flooding of the Thornapple River. This park has a great view. There is no swimming allowed here because the river moves pretty fast even when it's not above flood stage. Fishing is allowed. Also there is a little park structure for kids. It's a great place to stop on your lunch break. There's a Subway at the gas station just up the road...
