George W. Roy Recreational Park — Attraction in Calera

This is the definition of small but sweet right here, the park has a few pavilions to rent for multiple things such as a kid's birthday party, hanging out with friends, and for a cook out too.

Things to point out: There are restrooms here and not to mention, easy accessible parking spots right in front of the park, the trail is marked to your desired choice of path whether you want to walk/run, maybe be on a bicycle and more.

The playground is the biggest addition to this park, the kids are going to love it, feels like you're on cloud nine 9⃣ but safety comes first always. The swings actually work and do not squeak like crazy but the ones at my intermediate school still hit me after all these years, I sure do...

Good quite park equipped with two playgrounds for children in different age groups, swing sets, ample open areas for you guessed it... recreation. A decent sized walking/running track a restroom with water fountain an multiple covered awnings/pavilions with picnic tables and grills that can be reserved for birthday parties an ect... Contact the City Hall in Calera for reservation info and availabilities, all in all its a good spot to spend some quality...

Updating my rating because of issues with other visitors to the park. Some days are perfectly fine and everyone is acting decent. Other days you have to deal with people driving their vehicles out into the park and parking on the walking track next to the pavilions or driving their four wheelers and golf carts through the kid's play area or buzzing you with their drones. You just have to see what kind of crowd you have before getting out...
