I visited on a Saturday, so the museum was closed. The Voyager restaurant was open until 2 pm, so I met a friend from Bakersfield here for lunch. The menu was great. I arrived too late for breakfast but the lunch options were numerous, and tasty. Pricing was comparable to other restaurants and the view of the flightline is unobstructed. We were able to see two C-17 departures while having lunch. The number of aircraft being stored here seemed to be much under the numbers I recalled from a few years ago. I was a bit disoriented at first. The new highwsy passes this area to the north now. The old highway passed to the south. Took a quick drive around and saw the Virgin Galactic and Stratoliner facilities as well as the three aircraft at the main entrance.

Excellent to take the children for a walk, there is a picnic area if you have your food you can eat and even though the heat reaches 115° there are a lot of trees that you don't feel that it's so hot! I love this place!

A great place to learn about our military and NASA's past, Richard Branson's aspirations for space travel and a view of where commercial aircraft go when they are decommissioned.

There are 3 aircraft at the entrance that you can walk around and see, but far from a museum that we drove the distance to see. We went to the admin office and inquired about the museum. The very friendly and informative female employee, informed us the museum does not exist other than the 3 aircraft you can freely view at the entrance, and they have been trying to get control of the site from google for years to correct the information. So no active museum on location. Off to see the one on...

Picturesquely situated small museum and actually an exhibition of decommissioned planes, located right at the entrance to the Mojave airport. Easily accessible to visitors. There is a concrete pavement around for a comfortable walk around the presented planes. The planes can only be admired from the outside, but are precisely described on the information boards. It is worth stopping...
