I wouldn't camp here again if it were the last place on earth. My first two experiences at Long Point, was the camp host did nothing. Zero.

Camp was extremely noisy two weekends in a row. People screaming at 3:00 and 4:00 am. Singing in chorus, setting off fireworks, it was bad. The camp host never even came out of his trailer.

The management company is unprofessional, doesn't allow you to use the trash receptacle at Long Point, even though they have them, and at Lone Rock they are nowhere to be found. You have to go to the next campsite to use them. There was dog feces in our campsite that wasn't picked up and someones broken lantern on another trip as well as dirty pots and pans on another. Loose dogs everywhere at both campgrounds and the prior year there was a dog bite because of it. It wasn't reported though.

The biggest issue, is they gave away our campsite by the lake that we had a reservation on for 6 months. They say because I didn't show up on a Thursday, and we didn't come in until Friday, that we should have contacted them to let them know we were coming. That would be great if they had service, but there is no service at Long Point or at Lone Rock. Zero.

I feel if I have a reservation that isn't canceled, and the camp hosts are fully aware you arrive late each weekend, they should have enough common sense to not give away your site. Who does that? They should have made the people who they MOVED from an inside spot to our space, stay where they reserved. I paid for my spot, 6 months early. I had a reservation. In a normal world, that means you have a RESERVATION.

This happened another time as well, because someone put money in the box the day we were arriving and the camp host didn't want to tell the people we had a reservation.

To make it even worse, their manager Missy told me I would be reimbursed for their poor decisions, and they still didn't uphold it. We ended up camping by people who burned their trash, including plastic!!!

These issues are not a one time thing, both with the old management company...

Awesome lake. Great fishing lake. It is way too small for water sports. You can't ski or tube on the lake because of its small size. Because there are lots of kayaks due to the size. There is a 25 mph limit. The lake is patrolled by a sheriff durring the summer months. Water level drops in the summer due to feeding creeks and evaporation. Lake lice is common during the warmer months will cause itching skin and a mild rash. This is due to the warmer water. It is 7.00 to launch a boat. There is camping available. If you are looking for a bigger lake with lots of amenities like restaurants and bars golfing try lake Almanor it is only a few minutes up the road it has free boat launch and trophy size fish. Be courteous and cautious going up the antelope grade there is a ton of wild life and pets. Not to mention people walking up and down. If coming from 395 lake Davis and frenchmans lake are beautiful lakes with great fishing and camping. They are closer and are easier to pull a boat or RV the grade can be...

Went camping this weekend, we are from out of town and have never camped here before. We found a spot 2 miles turning right from stop sign. Nothing was posted on the dirt road we went down to find our spot and after two days of camping without issue a sheriff drove up on a boat and told us that we could not have a tent at day use. We did not know we were in Day use (due to nothing was posted) however I donโ€™t like the fact that if we were actually there for just Day use that we could not have a tent up because we had babies with cribs we used the tent for, for naps and to keep the bugs away from them etc... however other than that we loved the lake except my children came out of the water with all these red bumps covering their bodies (pictures shown below). The ranger explained them as swimmers itch meaning lake lice. We wonโ€™t be coming back for that soul reason alone. We went there to fish, swim and camp and if you go to a lake and canโ€™t swim due to this lake lice than I donโ€™t want...

Such a beautiful and quiet place to go. Boulder Campground is just up the road from Antelope which offers overnight camping with fire ring, picnic tables and restrooms. It's pet friendly so long as you pick up their waste and keep them leashed. The day use spots are my favorite but I wish campfires were allowed for us responsible adventurers. There is several days use points for swimming, boating/kayaking, fishing and just hanging out on the beach! It's a nice quiet place for a solo gal and her wolf pup ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿšฃ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ๐Ÿบ

One of my favorite lakes near Susanville. This lake is great for fishing: bass, trout, catfish etc. Great for swimming! Beautiful sunsets, and amazing views of the stars at nice. The camp grounds are not 5 star, but they are decent. My only complaint is that people litter. "Leave the lake cleaner than when you came to it." All locals support this philosophy. Everyone should too ๐ŸžโœŒ
