Parking was a bit of a challenge because everyone else was trying to take advantage of the brief break in the rain and get outdoors like we were. We parked in the paid lot about a quarter mile from the starting point of the hike. I have the Vet State Park pass so It was free for us to park. Despite the onslaught of rain the last few weeks the path was level and smooth all the way to the falls. Nice easy hike, good for all ages. There are tons of little paths along the way that take you to various points on the river. It was running high and fast so we did not go down there because we have a dog obsessed with water who is to dumb to not try to swim. The falls were at peak flow and looked spectacular. Read more2.1 miles round trip. Mostly level, easy hike. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the parking sucks. We got there at 8am on a Thursday and got one of the last 3 parking spots. Few spaces and if you don't get there early in the am, you will have a longer walk to get to the trailhead than the walk to the fall itself.
