Got a day pass and headed over to bodega dunes today. Took my kids back to the campsite where we stayed in the past to play in the sand dunes. We had just evacuated from a wildfire and the kids are traumatized and needed something familiar safe and comforting. Even though there was no one in the campsite, the Ranger Patti Felt a need to throw us out because it was not a day use area. I tried to appeal to her humanity but she was cold and heartless. Apparently the Ranger service is having a hard time finding quality people to fulfill these positions. It was a sad situation for my kids Who just wanted to play for...

I’ve been to the campground and it’s pretty nice surrounded by those huge trees and the smell of ocean. Yes the beach it self it was a cloudy cold day I just made it to the jetty leading to the beach but just glancing out the way just spectacular. The walk from the campground to beach is beautiful also.. Getting ready to head out there soon this time will be fishing from the shore
Can’t wait if for any reason you are thinking just about it

Wasn't sure what would be down the road or if there would be beach access as out on the highway it's labeled as camping. After a short drive in there is a little ranger station for the campground and to pay for parking for beach access which was $7. Lovely beach. A Little chilly in the morning so if you decide to go walk on the beach before nine definitely bring a windbreaker or a light down jacket, but warms up pretty quickly. Lots of beautiful rocks. Didn’t see too many shells. Also fun drift wood structures.

This place is beautiful! Not a lot of people were here. The beach was clean and peaceful! Definitely the best beach I have been to. A LOT of mole crabs that do not hurt you. Watching them bury themselves into the wet sand was so much fun to watch. Highly recommend!

My favorite beach! Always some fun driftwood structures that change from visit to visit. The dunes are great to get some elevation. Not typically too crowded, but I recommend arriving early. Get lunch/dinner at the (relatively) nearby Washoe House!
