Ima give this lake 1 star. Showed up no ranger was working so I had to ask a camper what to do . Went back filled up a slip with the wrong date put my 5 dollars in and went fishing. I took my kids 11 10 4 and 2 year old so we took a tiny tent bcuz it was pouring rain but we wanted to fish . So we set up and started fishing didnt catch anything . The ranger lady shows up and tells us we cant have a tent up so we explained were not camping we drove over 1 hr to get here we just want to make sure the kids are ok in the rain and close by. She wanted us to move our tent about 100 feet upwards . So I said fine we will. Besides the campers we were the only ppl there . So I gather the rods and tell my husband what needs to be done . She then says shes going to wait there till we move the tent to do it now. Like woman do you not see the pouring rain I need to get my kids in the car b4 I move anything. We...

Brite Lake campground fits its name. We stayed here the first two nights of our trip to take our grandchildren to the beach for the first time. We arrived on Wednesday night (it’s very hard to find in the dark which is one of the reasons for the 4 instead of 5 stars), and left Friday morning. We had stayed in lot 1 with full hookups. Loved that spot. The host that was helping me make my reservation was explaining all of my options clearly and told me what would be the best choice and he was right. We are back again after 2 nights at Ventura Beach and it felt so peaceful to return to this beautiful space. We will be here for 2 more nights. I highly recommend Brite Lake campground. The lake is beautiful, there is a fun playground for the kids and a net for sports. The bathrooms are clean except for the spiderwebs on the mirrors. They are also very dog friendly if you travel...

Lake is large and the tent camp site are spacious with fire pits, plenty of trailer sites as well. The playground is near covered picnic table and BBQ’s. Parking areas are not clearly mark. Employees do not follow their posted speed limit rules when trying to enforce the rules that are not clearly posted. This large employee was lacking in the tact and charm when addressing visitors in their 50’s to 70 year old patterns. The right attitude is that a small town camp ground needs for repeat. The bathrooms are large and in the correct locations but need...

Great for families!! We went camping here in our Class A rv. They have full hook ups 30 amps, water, and sewer) and some partial (water and electricity only). Great views whichever site you're on!! You'll either have a view of the beautiful hillside, full of life! (cattle, donkeys, deer, quail, coyotes, and more!!), or of the lake, or both!! Clean, quiet, beautiful, and reasonable nightly rates!!!

Very quiet electric and water hook ups but no dump. Camp host is an amazing person! Super friendly and helpful. Lake is for drinking water so fishing is OK, but NO swimming humans or pets! Very cold in late February early March as occasionally it snows! High altitude. About 4,000 feet! Also Tehachapi has a Lot of wind. We have rarely extended our awning!

Clean bathrooms, lots of space and picnic areas. Payed $ 5 for day pass. The ticket machine does not give change back so I donated $15 since I put in a $20 bill. My kids loved the play structure, but it has no shade and gets pretty hot in the summer. Great areas to cook, camp, or picnic, and running water. Nice fresh wind and nice scenery.
