Caliza Winery — Attraction in California

I LOVE Mandy & Caliza Winery! I have been partnering with Mandy for virtual wine tastings for my clients & it has been a wonderful experience! From the get go, Mandy was incredibly responsive, kind & accommodating in helping me to coordinate my virtual tastings. Mandy has also led our tastings & she's super knowledgeable about the wine, but also makes the experience very fun & engaging!

On another note, The Wine is stunning! Made with love & Crafted in small batches, by a family owned winery with only 12 employees. The reds are so bold & luscious! My favorites thus far, being the Syrah & the Primitivo. But Caliza is known for their elegant reds, so you can't go wrong! I also love the Pink!! Such a delicious & drinkable wine. Super fruity & fragrant, but still very dry. And a great deal at only $28 a bottle! My fridge is stocked up!

And wait, did I tell you They offer the option for a cheese paring with their virtual tastings!? Omg- delicious, local chesses that pair beautifully with the wines! The perfect, indulgent add-on to clear your palate, as you go!

Aug Visit: Stellar Winery STILL after being a member for several years now. No BS, just great wine from the bottle. The team is fantastic because the wine itself is not pretentious.

March Visit: After visiting 12 wineries from Monterey to Paso last week, Caliza STILL stands out to be the BEST from the wine to the hospitality. The boutique rustic-style tasting room is tucked away at the end of the road beyond Booker Vineyard. Rarely do I ever enjoy every single wine from a tasting, but somehow Carl's wines have made purchasing just a single bottle or even a few bottles nearly impossible. Shout out to Tyler, Maury, and Mandy again for always making our visit memorable. We are glad and appreciative of Caliza following Covid precautions. Looking forward to next time!

I cannot say enough good things about Caliza Winery! It’s all about the wine for us and this wine is scrumptious! Rich, layered flavors with velvety finishes. Now that’s my jam! There’s not a single wine that Carl makes that we don’t love. There a lot of wineries in Paso Robles, but this one will not disappoint. In addition to the amazing wines the people are wonderful. They are down-to earth and just plain fun. They never pressure you for sales and you can tell they are passionate about the wines. More and more we are seeing higher tasting fees and no discount when you join a wine club in Paso. You just get “access.” Seriously? What do you think this is, Napa? You have to buy soooo many bottles to waive the tasting fee, and sometimes you even have to pay for pick-up parties! Not at Caliza!
