My fiancee and I has a 3:15 reservation on 6/27/20. Regrettably, the service was awful. We understand that super attentive service is not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions/regulations. Not once did we actually feel welcome. There were two employees when we arrived at the tasting room. Both acted like we were ruining their day by showing up to a prepaid reservation. My fiancee and I are willing tippers. The two employees on shift barely lifted a finger to make us comfortable. We were made to feel as if the workers were doing us a favor for meagerly delivering on what was advertised as an amazing experience. We were sitting outside in 90° F. We were not asked nor brought water. Had to ask. When we asked, we were made to feel that us the paying guest was a nuisance to the two tasting room employees who had to actually do something. Absolutely regrettable. 90° F weather and guests sitting outside means to anyone with competent hospitality training would offer water before any alcohol that was already paid for. But, again we had to ask and were given attitude for asking. We needed a knife to cut some brie that came with our tasting. When we requested the knife, again, we were made to feel as if our request was out of line and an inconvenience to the workers on shift. Not once did the employees on shift show any semblance of good hospitality. I am most certain that if the manager that trained them or the owner saw how lack luster the service offered/given was, they would have been extremely disappointed. My fiancee and I love Hopland and we go to and support any business there willingly. We will not be...
Read moreWhat an amazing venue for a wedding, truly magical! My daughter got married this past June and we were so beyond pleased with everything from the beautiful venue to the incredible wine. The ceremony took place in the trellised grape arbor which was such an intimate, quaint space, perfect for the ceremony. The cocktail party was in the lush garden area surrounded by all the amazing flowers. It was the ideal backdrop for mingling with guests and perfect for having our champagne tower. One of my very favorite spots is where we ended up having the reception dinner, in the Tuscan garden. The space is so unique and has so much character. We had 160 people however, it felt again very intimate and I loved how it opened up to the large grass area with the dance floor which was so nice to be able to dance under the stars. It was the perfect fairytale wedding. Campovida was a great destination wedding location. It located in the small, charming town of Hopland. It was so nice to have our guests less than a mile from Campovida, in the two historic hotels in town. In addition, to the hotels there were many vacation rentals in town too. Lastly, Anna and Gary were so nice to work with, along with their team. Planning a destination wedding can be quite challenging and they were both very accommodating and such a joy with. We absolutely loved everything about the venue, hotels and town! Won't have...
Read moreOur first visit was in December of 2009. Anna & Gary introduced us to the Fetzer Estate and shared their vision to bring the property back to life, as it had been unloved for so many years. Anna & Gary’s careful stewardship has brought growth to the property and town of Hopland. Their love and hard work created Campovida, Thatcher Hotel and Stockfarm restaurant.
Campovida is a definite must stop on your next trip to Mendocino County. A walk through the garden with a glass of biodynamic wine or bubbles, a tasty meal at Stockfarm, and a spacious room to sleep in at the Thatcher Hotel awaits you. These are truly amazing places to connect, play and rest. You won’t regret visiting or becoming a member of the Campovida Wine Club; there are many wonderful events and offerings throughout...
