Great spot to go running or swimming. There is a dirt trail with obstacles or workout stations setup approximately every quarter miles along the side of the path. (Sit ups, pull ups, push ups, monkey bars, balance beams etc). The white water gorge is further upstream (West) from the main parking area. The workout stations are further downstream (East) along the dirt path. The first one you will encounter is a stretching station. There are more exercise stations not pictured in this review such as a climbing ladder and step up station.

cool little parking area to overlook the river and have lunch and go for a walk. Some nice swimming holes to enjoy down along the river but be careful during the spring time when the water is moving fast. Nice paved trail and more adventures dirt trails go east and west along the river. Lots of old gold history in this area and Native American history. Plaques in the parking area to read about. Bathroom in the parking area as well.

Absolutely beautiful place. Was a place for rituals and ceremonies for the Wintu Indians in days of old. The place feels ancient and sacred. The stone formations are beautiful and there are plenty of jumping rocks, swimming holes and rapids to tube down. Some graffiti has been added recently so if you feel the need bring a brush and scrub some off.

This is a breathtaking vantage point that is friendly to dogs, seniors, disabled persons, and children. Many points along this road offer beautiful vantage points and adventures, but this has to be the most comfortable for a diverse range of people and circumstances. The parking lot is a little weird, but is not usually full, however if it is you can park on the road it does not add too long of a walk to the view if it is needed. When in the parking lot you already have a beautiful view, clean bathrooms, covered!!! viewing areas which is a must in the summer for this area and extremely hard to find, and you are just as far from the outhouse door as you are from the rail to see the view. Trails available for those who are interested, and they veer off in both directions down the creek. Highly recommend for anyone disabled or with limited mobility/endurance but wanting a gorgeous view. Creek is usually quite rapid in the...
