Starting off it was a shock to see the size of the campsite, small and right next to your neighbor. Very nice clean spots but wasn't what I expected. $100, 2 nights, standard site. There was shade allllll day😍 5 stars

10 p.m. curfew, nothing new until we dealt with security! We were HARASSED TO THE EXTREME. Wish I knew his name. He continually drove in our court and stood in the dark waiting and watching so he can start harassing us and every other site in our area. In the a.m. I was woke up and told that we were all going to have to leave!!! Morning noise is not enforced.

Security was offended when something was said to him by a few of the guests. Security lied to his boss I feel because of the offending words!!! It was a he said she said situation. The manager ultimately took the side of his employee after being told from MULTIPLE separate campers the same situation with their employee. We should have been apologized to after getting all the info but that did not happen.

The other guests did not have to leave but 1 guest had to leave by 5 p.m.! This should have been a warning! There was a bending in the decision I feel because management knew their security was in the wrong!!!! They put a big damper on our trip. Next time we know to go to the office...

I did not mind paying $52 a night for lake side camping. I did not mind the walk to the porta potties. What did concern me is the complete lack of competence in the security staff. The campground rules state quiet time is from 10pm until 8am. There was a loud and drunk group camping next to our site. We let it go until 11pm when our children could not sleep due to the annoyance and the unsafe situation of a fire being started on the shore of the lake. We stated our concerns to the security staff twice. Both times the security guard told them they had received complaints from their neighbors, but not to worry because they were doing nothing wrong. At 1am we could not take it anymore and a call was made to the non-emergent sheriff line. A deputy sheriff arrived a half hour later and told them to keep quiet. A lot of good that did! for the next hour I had to listen to the group next to us plot their revenge. Needless to say we cut our trip short and were up and out of there by 8am. Our family camping trip was ruined. If you like to party until the wee hours of the morning than this is the campground for you. I would not recommend it to families...

Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this place. I rented a trailer and a boat for my family for the weekend. The prices of the ice cream are so low and the serving is so much. The staff is always nice and always so accommodating. They try to make your visits as enjoyable as possible. Forgot to get a fishing license....no problem! You can get one here and bait. The boat rental is so in expensive it makes it am affordable trip. Even the pre-teen enjoyed the trip. I recommend this to families and people of all ages. For camping, or renting a trailer, bring your own RV, trailer, 5th wheel whatever. Not so outdorsey...rent a cabin. Either way your experience will be amazing. All trailers and cabins come equip with cook wear, service for 10. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Bring food and your set. No matter if you go to Collins Lake for a few hours a few days or a few weeks. You will enjoy your stay and you...

4th of july weekend 2022. This used to be a favorite place for our family to camp on special occasions for many many years,, however.....The water was extremely low and extra sinky, alot of rocks and a hike down to the water due to low water levels. Shop and icecream shop were amazing! So many cool nik naks and souvenirs. Pros and cons, but i wouldnt go back until the water levels get higher. Almost like swimming in an oversized hot muddy puddle. Paid for a 3 day camping spot and left 3 hrs after arriving. They also made us buy day passes for our vehicles on top of already renting a camping spot. Over priced duck poop soup! We didnt even ask for our money back, we left highly disappointed. 3/10 probably wont recommend.

We went on memorial day weekend with multiple family it was a great trip. We camped right above lake, beautiful view, dog friendly and accesible store nearby for eggs, mil, wine etc. Quarter needed for Hot shower 4 quarters four minutes. Porter potty near by not bad compare to how full the camp was. Running water tap was nearby for washing dishes. I slept on and off due to bird noises ear plug would have helped. We did kayaking, fishing and chilled all day. Nearby beach is fun but we had water access directly from the camp site so did not even bother to go to beach. Overall nice weather, no cell phone reception so it was great to connect with family and disconnect with digital world.

We went for the day to look at the camping sites. There was a lot of camping sites. Most by the day use area look kind of small with gravel. We drove down to the dam to look at the water front sites. Not many trees by the water so bring a pop up. These sites looked a little bit bigger but still really close to the next site. Right now the lake is full so the water is right in front of those campsites. They have water faucets near those sites and porty potties. The kids park by the beach was pretty big and did look like it had a lot of different activities for the kids to do.
