I’m giving this place a five star review, but it could be better. I like the aspect of a bird sanctuary, the river to kayak, and seeming pretty well kept. However, there are 40+ unhoused, dropped off, abandoned cats. I was pleased to see cat boxes made and camouflaged, dry food spread across in the grass, and water in several tubs. I visited today feeding wet food to what I visually counted to be 43 cats. It’s a bit heartbreaking as I am an animal lover. They are friendly but scared. Read moreWe were on West Main Street and a Barn Owl 🦉 Flew right onto our driver side. I didn’t have the heart to just leave it there, we made a u turn and went back to find it standing on the middle doble yellow line.
As we got out the vehicle another vehicle hit the barn owl, luckily it didn’t smash it. My husband carefully ran and picked it up, we put it on the side of the shoulder and called Fox Grove Park unfortunately they are not 24 hours therefore we had to bring the barn owl 🦉 home with us.

Read moreI'm an avid fisher and I love to find hidden gems like this one. My kids loved it aswell because they seen the kitty's. Sadly the whole grassy section near the cats is like a litter box so I don't recommend having your kids go rolling around like mine happened to do the day we went. Besides the giant litterbox and the kitty's the fishing is awesome there is so many places along the river to fish. And it has a boat launch if you happen to have a boat this place is huge. I can't wait to go back with my kayak and go...
