During the day is a nice park, during the night is another story. The park is supposed to be closed from dawn to dusk but many times the barriers are still open at midnight and people are still walking around . Especially in the mating season under the cover of darkness they are all kinds of funny activities going on here all night long.

The lights are almost inexistent and if some aliens would land by mistake here they'll think is middle ages. In many places in the world the parks are lighted like a concert place but not here. On the other hand this is a good place for stargazing and seeing meteorites because they are spots that are totally dark no light pollution.

This park is not very dog friendly because they even have posted inside tennis court no dogs allowed. That is not very fair to the dogs who might feel discriminated. If these tennis courts are so sensitive to dogs who might scratch the paint or whatever reason is not to let the dogs inside then why not make an enclosure on the grass where our only true friends can run and play? If the dogs could talk they would ask for it I'm sure of that, and that would not reduce the available space for bipeds they could use...

My son's favorite park and he calls it the "sun" park because the play structure has a sun on top (I never noticed till he pointed this out). Gibbons Park has just about anything you would want in a park. There are two sets of tennis courts, a basketball court, concrete walking or riding paths throughout, party area with tables and benches, and a few areas to barbecue. There are two play structure areas for the kids, one for the younger children and one for the older ones. A small third section has two swings plus a tire swing. There is plenty of space to set up a volleyball game on grass and they tore down the old restrooms within the last 2 years and built a new structure with...

I first did some concrete work at this park about 15 years ago is still there and this is a really nice community Park one of the few parts I seen lots of kids and parents at even at dark time for a little while after it got dark. So yeah I really pretty good community Park especially to bring the kids real safe and if you walk through the park and you see all these square concrete pads at exercise platforms are on I I poured those concrete slabs about 15 years ago goes. So take a look when you get there I would recommend this for all your...

This is truly one of the best parks in Sacramento. The whole park feels fresh and inviting. It’s quiet, peaceful, and beautifully clean, making it a perfect spot to relax, go for a walk, or enjoy time with family and friends. Even when there are people around, it never feels overcrowded. There’s plenty of open space, and the atmosphere is calm and pleasant. It’s one of those rare places where you can really slow down and enjoy nature without the noise and stress of the city. We absolutely love coming here — highly recommended!

Very nice and big Park. There are two double tennis courts, two playgrounds, one for small kids and another one for older children. Park has many swings, basketball court, tables with sits, place for parties, BBQ and toilets. So many trees are there, some of them are citrus trees, some of them are olives and pine trees. Open and wide acres of grass. Such a beautiful place. Just loved it.

This is a wonderful, large park with plenty of space for activities. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, water fountains and bathrooms, citrus trees, and acres of grass. I took entirely too many pictures to give a sense of the space. There are two places to park your car/motorcycle - the large parking lot near the community center, and street spots on Cypress.
