Greenwood Creek State Beach — Attraction in California

Magnificent! Drove coast to coast and couldn't leave without touching the ocean in CA. There's parking right next to the path and an easy trek down to the shore! A local told us there was a path to go up as well for more of an eagle view but we only had time for one hike and wanted to touch the water. Came in the beginning of October and when we first got there it was quite foggy you couldn't see anything beyond the beach. Slowly lifted as we were walking down and the view is truly incredible. Even better when we walked back up to the top (so do the higher path too if you can!) This place is SO cool! We stopped here to play for a bit during our summer, cross country, RV road trip, & we were sad not to have known about it in advance to make it an official stop with more time. There was a dense fog the day we traveled through, but that did not stop it from being gorgeous & fun. There was a dirt trail down to the beach that all of us walked easily, plenty of room to run around & play, & gorgeous scenery all around....

A beautiful and sprawling beach with plenty of room to explore or to just find a place to put your chairs in the sand and chill. Good place to collect driftwood too. There are a couple of pretty cool Driftwood structures on the beach to check out. Its a really nice beach to enjoy an afternoon on.
