Great trail suitable for any type of bike. There are two, very short, steep grades, at either end of the trail. Our tiny, folding, electric bikes had no trouble negotiating them.

I met some locals a Peter and Susan who told me this beautiful work of America at its prime was going to be replaced great people

There's a really good amount of variety throughout the whole trail. Additionally there are lots of different places to start hiking which is great if depending on the difficultly or scenery your looking for. Parts of the trail are paved and it goes right up to the neighborhoods. That does have the benefit of making it more accessible for the community, and if you're looking for more nature you can just start of somewhere else. I've personally been from between the Hammond Bridge in Arcata through Hiller park in Mckinleyville. All in all I liked it a lot and look forward to checking out more stretches of the trail. I definitely...

Meh. It’s a bike trail, which automatically makes it better than any road, but it feels like a forgotten vestige of the 90s. The trail surface is bumpy, sloped, and it switches around from asphalt to gravel and dirt to low-er traffic roads to even decommissioned roads quite frequently. I personally much prefer the new bicycle trail between Arcata and Eureka. This would gain more usefulness by a direct connection to Arcata, better maintenance, and deconfliction from...

Please keep your dogs on a leash and pick up their poop. This is a nice community trail for bicycling and walking. Dogs off leash attack other dogs on leash and my children. Dogs off leash are also a hazzard to bicyclists. DONT BE A JERK, KEEP YOUR...
