It wasn't much fun. Cute decorations at some spots was best thing. Long food lines. Long rides lines. There was no social distancing in place. Everyone was up in your face with about a 1-3% mask use in place. I wore mine as well my family did also. No hand soap to wash with in sanitizing station. No paper towels available either. And we arrived at 4pm. Left at 10pm. Port-a-pottys were clean and nice tho. I asked 3x for soap and hand towels to be refilled in 3 different locations at 4:15 to 4:20 and even at 5pm no progress was made towards it. By then there was no water available to use to wash hands. Hand sanitizer was available at the admissions gate tho I was told finally. Hundreds and hundreds of people coming and going. No lighting in the kids play area. It was dark and felt dangerous in most the park that wasn't a 'nite' time attraction. Gas fumes and exhaust fumes were horrid while we waited 1 HR to ride the go carts for 5 minutes and 1 kept breaking down on every other round of riders. Still everyone right up next to me and when I requested nicely some space next to me, I was treated badly by the other patron so I just left the line for personal space. Before I left at around 9:55 pm I went to see if there was soap, hand towels and water to use after using toilet, I found it was all still empty. So I held it till I got home. Highly disappointed and would discourage anyone who wants the social distancing part not to attend. Most the fun things to do were non-functioning and the lines to do anything were ridiculous. Thirty minutes plus for a soft drink or food or a ride is way to long. And for the price, definitely not worth the price. They need to bring their quality of available rides up. The wait times reduced and make it safer next year or I won't be going for sure. I gave it a chance and this time I can say was a waste of...
Read moreI've come here every year for the past 5 years. It's usually overpriced, but still an okay experience. This year was different. This year was awful. I paid for the basic Hawes Farm package. When I checked in no one told me that I needed to add money to my wrist band. When I was told that I couldn't pay with cash at a ride and that they were not accepting Hawes bucks anymore I had to stand in the very long line at the front AGAIN and add money to by wrist band. No employees apologized for making me wait another 30 minutes in line. Once I got up there I was told that everything in the park was paid for with the wrist band. So me and my husband both put 40 bucks on our bands and went back into the park. Only food and rides were wrist bands, and all outside vendors were still cash, but now I didn't have cash. We decided to leave early. We went to the front to ask for a refund. All we got back was the remainder of the money on the wrist bands and had to wait 30 minutes to get thst because every single computer was down and they couldn't perform any transactions for anyone! Also, at the few food places we went to all the computers were down with long wait times. So, I paid 80 bucks for the "haunts" and was so frustrated I didn't even get to go on one "haunt." I paid for 4 of these and nothing. They actually cut my wrist band off my wrist when they refunded the money that was put on my wrist band. I wasn't refunded ANY of my money for my 2 haunt passes even though I didn't go on any haunts. I'm completely out of $83 for no reason! I will never be back, and will give my business to Nash Ranch from now on. They also didn't have the cow train going, the ice cream stand wasn't open, and my corn dog was cold. This place is going...
Read moreWhat do you get when you combine an abandoned amusement park and your dead grandmother’s collection of old Christmas lawn ornaments? Whatever the hell this place is. Upon entering the park, we headed to the food stand. Not an awful experience. We sat to eat and peered around. There was a Christmas tree. There were a number of stands, most of which were closed. We peeked in on Santa. He was on his cellphone. We went to go see the rides, which are advertised as “open weather permitting”. The rides had clearly not been opened anytime recently. There were no barriers around them, so we took our toddler up to the merry go round to pet the horses. Yes, it was as depressing as it sounds. We wondered if we had somehow stumbled into the upside down, you know, the scary spooky version of the real world in Stranger Things where everything is just off. The Ferris wheel was lit up but it was also not running . We bought timed tickets for the train - 6 PM. The tickets meant nothing. We waited for the train for an hour, until 7. We got on. The train ride - the big attraction - was a 10 minute ride through some very low budget, half lit up lawn ornaments, culminating in a moment where a bubble machine sprays fake snow on you. On the way back you’re treated to a view of bulldozers, piles of discarded plastic sheeting, and a random shipping container. The zip line, jump pad, and rides weren’t even attractions that were open. The timed admission for the train was a huge fail. The place was overall run down, barely operative, and was giving serious horror movie set vibes. We might go again next year because we got a kick out of how much of a...
