An amazing experience! While Chris Loxton was out of town and could not give the 10:30 AM tour, Sandy did a great job filling in and she was very knowledgeable. She answered all our million questions easily as she is very involved in this small winery. The small, intimate vibe of the place makes it feel very special. We went on a Monday and we were the only ones there, besides a later tour group that came on a bus, tasted quickly (far away from where we sat) and left. The tasting was great, drink slowly and sit for a bit afterwards and you should be good to drive. We tasted 5 wines and she was nice to let us try another white Port that was amazing and we bought it. We sat in a couple of Adirondack chairs overlooking the vineyard and it was lovely! If you buy 1 bottle then you get half off your tour. Tour was $40 per person with tasting included, so buying a $30 bottle (which you will want to do, as the pricing is very reasonable and it’s always good to support smaller vineyards) after a 2-person tour would be 40+20+30= $90. So, only $10 more than you’d already be spending. Overall I think this is a fantastic experience and the best value for your money you will get...

This was the last winery we visited on my trip to Napa with friends. It came recommended to us by another friend. We chose it for the last day as we knew it was smaller and more relaxed. We had a LOVELY time sitting in the sunshine and doing our tasting with Chris Loxton. It was so special to have the winemaker and owner be the one showing us around and telling us about his winery! We were all compelled to fly wine back with us. Chris was funny and knowledgeable and we had a wonderful time learning from him. We all hope to come back! PS he makes the best port wine I have ever tasted. Sometimes, ports are too thick and honey-like for me. His was amazing! We were all...

What an absolute delight! This winery experience was exceptional and it was all because of the personalized tour that we were fortunate to get with Chris! He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the craft but it was his passion for the craft…and how to sustain it into the future…that really amazed us. He was patient with our questions (we had lots!) and his humour is delightful. We spent 1.5 hrs with Chris and we could have listed to him for 5 hrs. We learned so much and his small batch wines were excellent (our favorite was the Pinot noir). This was a highlight of our trip and we cannot thank Chris enough for his expertise and engaging personality. Highly...

Of the eight wineries we visited on this trip, Loxton was the best tasting experience hands down. From the second we stepped out of our car, Chris and his wife - who was amazing, so sorry I've forgotten your name! - were lovely hosts. We received both an in-depth tasting experience and just a wonderful conversation in general. The wines were delicious; our favorites were the Syrah, Cab, and both Port-style wines, but everything was great, and very reasonably priced as well. There's several places to sit outside and soak up the beautiful vineyard and hillside views as well. We will definitely be back on our next trip!
