Beautiful beach along Pt Reyes National Seashore. About 15-min (a mile hike to the beach from parking lot). A beautiful drive from the bear valley visitor center especially the last 10 minutes going over and around the rolling hills with cows grazing. The beach is secluded and empty on weekdays late afternoons. Folks who don’t hike much may have a longer time hiking back to parking lot. There’s no resting spot or bench on the trail and rather narrow trail at times. Must bring your own water. A bathroom is located in the parking lot. 3-4 large drift wood pieces placed at a few spots for visitors to sit down and rest. It was a lovely and empty eerily on the day before shelter in place order in Marin county.

Fantastic beach and worth the short hike! When there walk to the left along the beach beach all the way down until you find a narrow rocky path leading to a "secret" part of the beach that looks like mostly only locals know about. Fantastic views and appears to be good fishing according to some of the people there. Perfect family trip.

I’ve explored many beaches in and around Point Reyes, but this one stands out above the rest. It’s the quintessential California coastline—exactly what you imagine. The hike down is short and scenic, though the climb back up is a bit steep. As a bonus, it even leads to another secluded beach.
