We had our wedding at the Amphitheater in November, it was absolutely stunning! Thankfully it is so naturally beautiful that the decor that didn't make it out (it rained) almost didn't matter! The only hiccup was a small miscommunication with the staff working the day of, when my husband went to set up chairs the person told him he wasn't allowed to use the chairs, after explaining we could and had discussed it before she responded, "okay I guess just this once I will let it go." and then they came up after the ceremony and wanted the DJ to announce that guests needed to carry their chairs back down. The area around the museum and the outdoor exhibits are landscaped with native plants and trees and are beautiful to walk through as you move from exhibit to exhibit.

There are many events that take place here, such as steam engine demonstration, a separate museum replicating a power-house for hydroelectric power, a piece of the flume that carried logs down the mountain.
