Tucked away at the end of Bradley road, this park has a lot to offer. There is a cool creative playset for the kids which is next to a smaller grass area, an excellent for picnicking and lawn games. The park has to dog parks. One for large breeds and the other for small breeds. Both parks have plenty of room for the dogs to race around and are very well kept. This side of the park also has large party accommodations, with sheltered seating and Santa Maria Style grills for q'uing it up. A nice large overflow parking area provides room for extra guest, reservations are required for large groups. A cut little bridge connects to the back side of the park. On this side there are two nicely kept baseball daimonds, as well as a huge open space area on the lower portion. This area is perfect for kite flying, flag football and of course soccer. In fact these are is very busy on the weekends during baseball and soccer seansons. The park includes a playground for kids, a dog run and some trails to walk around and get lost in. If you would like to jog and get some fresh air Orcutt Community Park is a good place to do so. Read moreI love this park, but I only walk there. I worked with many projects using native plants and this park is surrounded by native plants, including coastal live oak and chaparral. Makes me happy just being there. I could write a chapter on this, but trying to keep it succinct. It is very family and pet friendly. Today on my walk I saw a mother and child balancing sticks together, so I stopped and asked, what are you building? She said we are building a Tee Pee for the dog. I just smiled and continued my walk.
