The best wine of our honeymoon paired with some of the best views and service, too. The drive up Spring Mountain was breathtaking as the grape leaves and trees were changing colors during our October visit. Wendy greeted us over intercom at the gate, then with a refreshing taste of the estate Chardonnay as we walked up to the winery. We were particularly fond of the 2016 Cab, Port and Merlot — described accurately as “a Cab lover’s Merlot.” Wendy shared the incredible history of the property and stories behind the wines. The tasting room overlooks the vineyard, so it’s an immersive experience as the wine flows and you see the fog roll just a stone’s throw from the property. Like most wineries, you expect to see pictures of the owner, but at Schweiger we noticed the photos flanking the proprietor’s were men who worked to build and maintain the vines — family by hard work if you will. Wendy and Andy, the owner/winemaker, were genuinely friendly and shared their deep knowledge of winemaking, answering all our questions with patience.
The wines were simply phenomenal! The Cabernet Sauvignon was a standout, and the Chardonnay was equally impressive—each sip packed with layers of flavor. The intimate family setting added a special touch to our tasting experience.
Perched on Spring Mountain, the vineyard offers breathtaking views that perfectly complemented the relaxed atmosphere. It truly felt like a quintessential wine country experience, and we cherished every moment.
Thanks to Napa Native Tours for making this unforgettable visit possible. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of these amazing wines! 🍇🏞️ #SchweigerVineyards #NapaNativeTours...

We never feel rushed, and we never feel like we're competing with other guests for time to talk with the host. The wine is similarly unrushed. Since they paid off the land decades ago and don't have pressure to pay the bills, they have the ability to age the wine for years longer than the...
